At WCSF I had some great conversations with people, one in particular was with a new friend from Canada about the complexity of taxation he had to deal with. That conversation taught me that the default tax options that Sprout Invoices has isn’t compatible with the requirements in Canada and other countries. So when I came back from the trip I spent some time researching and devising a solution for current and future Sprout Invoice users.
Shortly after deciding on the approach the Advanced Tax Rates add-on was released. You’ll notice the add-on is tailored for Canadian tax rates but can be easily changed to whatever terminology you’d prefer.
