It’s very likely you’ve already been introduced to Chris, he’s been doing an admirable job creeping around support for the last few weeks cautiously replying to your tickets. ?…joking aside, Chris has seriously impressed by what he’s done in such a short time.
Chris has improved the Sprout Invoices documentation a lot already. Not only creating new documentation to help you get started with Sprout Invoices but editing the out-of-date often misleading documentation. He’s the reason why the Sprout Invoices YouTube channel has doubled its video library, allowing users to see how to certain features work and how to set them up.
One of the great benefits of having Chris on this two man team is his fresh perspective. He’s able to help improve Sprout Invoices (and eventually other Sprout Apps products) in ways I was too naive to see. The improvements are already in the development stages for the next release, this is how big of an impression he’s making already.
With that out of the way let’s try to learn more about Chris through some questions:
Why do you call us “nerds” at the end of your videos?
I use ‘nerd’ as a term of endearment. You see, everyone is a nerd about SOMETHING. Sports, reading, comics, building stuff, fixing stuff, video games, knitting, invoicing, WordPress. You get it.
When I eventually fire you what will you do with your life?
Wait…what? Can we at least talk about this? I’m too young to be unemployed! But for serious, I am in the process of starting up a non-profit organization called Love Thy Nerd. We will be dedicated to loving a culture of people that are typically shunned and marginalized because of their hobbies: comics, video games, board games, anime, pop culture, etc. You can find out more information by joining our Facebook Group.
How do you feel about taking over support for almost two weeks because I’m going to be in the DR?
It will be fine.
We play a lot of board games together, what is your favorite…please don’t say Gloomhaven?
Gloomhaven couldn’t be my favorite because you won’t play it with me…I would say that Star Wars: Rebellion will always hold a special place in my heart because that is where it all began for us, Daniel.
Where would you like to travel to again?
Germany. I’ve been to Cologne and a super small village called Lemgo. I was sans wife on that trip, so I’d love to go back with her and see the country.
